The Apple Tree Inn is a Victorian style, four-story, interior corridor, limited-service hotel, with 40 guestrooms, benefits from its prime elevated location, commanding breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay. The facility consists of 30,700 square feet of total building area, comprising the hotel lobby with fireplace, continental breakfast area, elevator, swimming pool and spa, office, laundry, and spacious living quarters (2550 square feet). The exterior is wood framed with yellow vinyl siding, trimmed in white. The main entrance has a 16 x 33 drive-thru canopy. Room types consist of 21 Double Queens, 10 Kings, 6 King Jacuzzi’s, and 3 Family Suites.
All guestrooms are graciously appointed and feature oversized pine furniture. Guestroom amenities include a telephone with data port, high-speed Internet, 25” television with remote control, refrigerator, hairdryer, and coffee service. Each room has a private patio or balcony. The hotel site is attractively landscaped and provides ample paved parking.
The Apple Tree Inn is situated at the southeast corner of Spring Street (US-131) and Morgan Street, approximately one mile southwest of the downtown business district of Petoskey, within the Petoskey city limits. There is a good network of primary and secondary roads serving Petoskey and Emmet County. Spring Street (US-131) and US-31 are considered the primary north/south roadways serving Petoskey and northwest Michigan. Tourism continues to be the major economic force in the Petoskey area. It is considered to be a four-season tourist destination. Recreational activities range from water sports and golfing in the summer to skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Petoskey has a unique downtown area with quaint historical buildings, a central park, and the famous “gaslight district.” Northwest Michigan Hospital and Northern Michigan College are also located in Petoskey.
